FAQ
🔍How do I scan the QR or NFC tag?
To scan a QR tag, simply open your phone’s camera app and point it at the code. For NFC tags, your phone needs to have NFC compatibility. Just bring your phone close to the tag, and the information will appear on your screen. It's that easy!
🦌How do I attach a HUNTAG to my trophy?
Every tag is equipped with a strong adhesive layer, allowing you to securely place it wherever you want on your trophy. For the best results, apply it to a clean and smooth surface.
📲How do I link harvest details to a HUNTAG?
If you already use HNTR :
Simply scan the HUNTAG with your phone. Once scanned, you can select the relevant harvest from your existing collection and link it to the tag. If you haven’t added the specific harvest yet, easily add a new one by clicking "Add New" after scanning. All the details, including photos and location, will be linked, allowing you to access and share your trophy information with the next scan.
If you aren't an HNTR user yet:
Scan the tag and create your HNTR account. You'll always need an account so we can save and protect your information. The best way to do this is by downloading the HNTR app. Once you're set up, scan the HUNTAG with your phone, and you can start adding your harvest details. Simply enter the information about your hunt, such as the species, date, location, and photos, and link it to the tag. Your trophy details will be saved and easily accessible in the app.
✏️ Can I edit the information after adding it?
Yes, you can edit the information linked to your trophy at any time. Simply open the app and update the details as needed. However, it's key to know that each HUNTAG can only be linked to one harvest. You can change the details, but you cannot switch it between two different harvests. Each harvest is uniquely stored, ensuring your trophy’s information remains accurate and secure.
🆚 What is the difference between NFC and QR tags?
NFC tags use wireless technology to communicate with your phone when in close proximity, while QR tags require scanning through a camera app. NFC is more discreet, as it doesn’t need to be in the direct line of sight, while QR codes need to be scanned visually.
📱Are the tags compatible with all smartphones?
Yes, both NFC and QR tags are compatible with most smartphones. For NFC, your phone must have NFC capabilities, which are available on many modern smartphones. QR codes can be scanned with any smartphone camera or QR code scanning app.
🤝 Can I share the trophy details with others?
Yes, HUNTAG allows you to share your info with your friends! It's important to know that you are in the driving seat and decide if and with whom you share your information. If you want, you can easily send links to your harvest details, allowing others to view your hunting experiences or allow others to scan your tags (they still need physical access to the tag, for example, when visiting your home).
However if you prefer to keep your details private, you can protect your tags, ensuring they are only readable by your HNTR account.
🔁 Can I return the tags?
Unfortunately, due to the personalized nature of the tags, returns are not possible. However, if there is a defect or issue with your order, please contact customer support for assistance.
💸 Do I need a subscription to use the tags?
No, you do not need a subscription to use the tags. The tags are linked to your HNTR app, which is free to download and use.
